What do people say about
Children's Book Mastery?
An exceptional learning experience...
I am an aspiring writer. I want to learn as much as I can about the industry.
I think this was an exceptional learning experience for me. I enjoyed listening to all of the presenters and took lots of notes. All the bonuses they provided are the cherry on top.
Since I’m in the editing phase, I really got a lot of information in the marketing/ social media sessions. It made me realize how important an email list is and that I need to start working on that. I also learned about building my brand (me) and got a lot of useful information on how to do this.
It was so wonderful and worthwhile. I loved that I learned from numerous authors and will continue to follow them to continue learning. They were all so generous with their time and gifts. I can’t thank them enough.
My world has exploded a little bit!
It feels like my world has exploded a little bit! My horizons have quadrupled and my mindset with regards to my writing has completely changed in the last five days. There are certain sessions that are going to have a major impact on my career, I'm sure. Now, I feel like I'm going to need to take a breather and then make a summary of everything so that I can implement it. I feel completely wowed and overwhelmed at the same time.
My main takeaways were the fact that I should just stop dreaming and focus on my rough draft (Jed and Otakara); the emphasis on how important it is to build a mailing list and audience (like everybody), and the power of networking and reaching out to influencers (Ray). More than anything, I feel hopeful that I could actually sell books and that them lying dead in the water on Amazon is not because I'm a bad writer, but rather, a terrible marketer.
You guys were great! I honestly cannot think of how you could improve this event. Seriously, thank you, thank you, thank you.
