  1. This was extremely helpful. I do have one question…
If I already have Atticus, is the mini-course available? I don’t want to re-purchase Atticus to receive the bonus.

  2. Dear Monique,

The thing I love most about Atticus is that it keeps getting better!

I’m already using Atticus for my novels, but I didn’t know until right now that it could be used for my children’s picture books too.

Do existing clients of Atticus also get access to the mini-course on how to format children’s books?

    Thanks again for everything!

    1. This is so lovely, Simona, thank you so much for sharing! We will keep doing our best to improve and we do that by listening to Atticus authors, so your feedback is so appreciated!

If you already own Atticus, just write into [email protected] and let them know you were on this summit, and they’ll give you access to the course, no problem. Thanks again!

  3. Thank you, Monique! I have heard Atticus mentioned at several conferences, but have not done any research yet. Your talk was very informative.

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed! If you have any questions about your specific needs, our support team is absolutely amazing and you’re always welcome to write in to ask whatever will help you decide if it’s the right program for you!

  4. I have been an Atticus user for years and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I found this very interesting because I didn’t know how Atticus would handle picture books. I have used Atticus to add illustrations to both my lower middle grade novels and found it fairly easy to use, So I can recommend it for others to use. I didn’t know about the linker button and will investigate further because I am self-published wide.

    1. Hi John! I’m so glad Atticus has been a great tool for you, and hopefully now you’ll be able to get even more use out of it! Thank you so much for this lovely comment!

  5. I’ve been using Atticus for about a year to format my romance books, and I love it. It’s easy to use and their support team is amazing. I’m looking forward to trying to re-format one of my children’s books with Atticus after watching this presentation. If you are on the fence about Atticus, I highly recommend you take the plunge. Lifetime access, reasonable pricing, an easy- to- use program, and excellent support. You won’t be disappointed.

    1. Hi Carrie! I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying Atticus! (Side note/Insider information…I’m working on some Romance specific content right now!) I hope it helps you get some or more children’s books out into the world as well. I am so grateful to all you authors who are making beautiful books for children, thank you for what you do!

    1. I’m so glad you like the approach Atticus has taken and I hope it works out for you, if you give it a try with your books! Thanks for watching!

  6. I have been working with Atticus and would recommend it. Thank you and great session. If we already bought Atticus is there a way to get that recording that was mentioned about doing children’s books in Atticus? Thanks!

    1. I’m so glad you enjoyed, Tracy, and thanks for your kind words about Atticus! If you already own Atticus, just write into [email protected] and let them know you were on this summit, and they’ll give you access to the course!

  7. Loved this! I own Atticus but have not used it yet. Now I am excited to add the picture book I have ready and begin adding the one that’s almost ready. You made it seem so easy!

The part I found most mind-blowing was embedding the fonts with the illustrations! I finally understand how that happens in other books, and it helped me past one of the biggest hurdles I was having in my almost-ready book. Thank you sooooo much!

Just wondering if it’s possible to add text to illustrations I may already have using Canva or a similar program then export them? Is it possible to get a high enough resolution? Or is that a step best left to a professional?

Thanks again! I, too, and waiting to find out if those of us who have the program can also access the mini course. That sounds awesome!

  8. Great presentation Monique! I currently write middle grade books but would love to write picture books. I have asked Atticus for access to the mini course using the link you provided. Atticus keeps getting better all the time!

  9. I have heard mixed comments about the use of Atticus some say great some say don’t waste your money. You gave a great presentation and now I understand how useful it can be for self-published authors. Have written and published 2 Picture Books and it was difficult to get everything together. I am now working on a YA novel, first in a series and I was wondering what to do about formatting. Now I know.! Thank you I will definitely Purchase for myself.

  10. I have published 16 books and 8 of them were picture books.I love the ideas you showed us and the fact that they really set the best formating is a weight of my time as an author. At 89, Iam a bit old to start into tSOmething new.I used to plot it on a dummy book with illustrator.I had to payfor her work, but the best ones were the results of working with the illustrators, each time I am intrigued.I just need time to think about it. I would appreciate the mini course you offered Thank you. I have not been well and did nothave the energy to redo my website as such. Some say it is not important
