  1. This was so informative, Beth. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience. I especially appreciated the examples coming with each point. Yeah… you can be a teacher/lecturer (haha).

  2. Great presentation Beth; first one of yours I ever attended.
One comment – I wasn’t sure how it applied directly to Childen Book Authors. Not being one, I couldn’t figure if I was to write non-violent (but maybe sport-challenge) book now I’d apply 5 Essential Elements of a Story: to Child characters

  3. Excellent and so helpful! I love Shawn Coyne! Thank you for reminding us of these key points for story structure!

  4. Thank you, Beth. This was helpful as an aspect in developing the main character in our book. Yes, we are writing a children’s book, so we need to modify a bit, but it is good to remember that all characters need to have a goal, and then figure out how to get there, with all of the insecurities that life presents for everyone, young and old. Great session.

  5. This session was very helpful and informative. Explained all concepts well with good examples. Great job, Beth!

  6. Excellent workshop. I have a better understanding of how to develop a stronger chararcter and more importantly, how to build that arc or tension! Thank-you!

  7. Oh! Beth, you are so approachable. I plan to explore your website and consider asking for support. I have a 30-chapter upper middle grade story in progress. I am hoping to find beta readers. Where do I look for a few?
