Why is this free bonus asking for my credit card info? I want the bonus, but I do not want to have to put in my personal account info.

Sorry for the way the freebie is set up, it’s just a quirk of the system I use. I don’t love it either, but I don’t currently have another option. You won’t be charged anything 🙂

Same question as above, why do I need to put in my credit card info?

I have the same question. Why must I provide a credit card # for a free item?

I clicked on the Paypal button next to the Credit Card button, and then it didn’t require any more info.

You’re right! I tried the same and sending of the free bonus of 200+ ideas worked. Thank you for the suggestion!

I’d love to have the free 200 lead magnet suggestions. Although it does say free, it’s asking for a credit card. Not sure I like that! Laurie is Great. I listen to her on her podcasts often. I am one of those who write an email update once a month but hopefully my friends know who the email is from. I will be launching my upcoming book where I know I need to do 5 touches which is 5 emails leading up to my launch.

Yes. Select PayPal if you want to get the Bonus. I’ve just done that and have the pdf in the Inbox. Thanks so much, Laurie.

THANK YOU very much for all the tips and for the 200+ more tips. I can’t wait to read it. Actually, I have lots of readings to do after this summit will be over, plus other readings waiting patiently on a pile… .

I appreciate A LOT your time and effort to put together all these tips. It seems that there is an overall agreement on the mailing list’s importance. I have discovered with this presentation and with this children’s book summit that the email list subscription comes with the freebie, the automation, the welcome in 5-7 lines, and an eventual sale list. For me, personally, it’s a little bit too many emails in a row in a short time for a newsletter that will come weekly anyway and from which the reader can learn about the author, can read the sale book anyway, and digest all the info, too. I don’t have an email list – at least not yet – but when I will, I’ll only exchange the freebie for the email, I think the freebie can contain a few lines about the writer, and then the newsletter that, for me, it would work more at two weeks than weekly (at least, at the beginning).

Hi everyone. If you click “PayPal” next to credit card on the freebie, it doesn’t ask for your credit card info.

Laurie, your interview was very helpful. You’ve saved me from the ol’ trial and error method. My greatest takeaway is “Work hard on your author network!” I’m glad to know about segmenting as well. Thank you for the awesome bonus!
